Kathy Mattea Enchants Chadron Audience

Award-winning country singer Kathy Mattea enthralled an audience at Chadron State College for two hours last to open the Galaxy Series of fine and performing arts events.
Although the concert was in the 700-seat Memorial Hall Auditorium, the show had a much more intimate feeling with just Mattea and guitarist Bill Cooley, her collaborator of more than two decades.
That feeling was exactly what Mattea intended. The 56-year old singer told KCSR news afterward that after 3 decades of traditional large shows, she’d wanted to do something a little different.
