From Jazz At Lincoln Center
Jazz musicians refer to what they do as telling stories. JazzStories brings the musicians’ own words to their music. Actor Wendell Pierce takes us backstage for after-hours sessions and conversations.
The latest edition of the JazzStories podcast features prolific pianist and composer Jason Moran, who fuses stride piano, avant-garde jazz and sampled sounds. Hear the 2010 MacArthur Fellow “a Texas computer geek who plays the piano” in conversation with Simon Rentner and Ave Carrillo.
