Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s rendition of "When The Saints Go Marching In" will be featured on ESPN’s Monday Night Football as part of a promotional initiative that the network has unveiled to showcase new music. The initiative began this past Monday (9/10) with a spotlight on Kanye West, and will continue throughout the football season. In addition to Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the network has plans to feature The Foo Fighters, Matchbox Twenty, Kid Rock, Irma Thomas and Marcia Ball, and Eddie Vedder.
Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be featured during the September 24, 2007 game at the New Orleans Superdome between the Tennessee Titans and the New Orleans Saints. Monday Night Football coverage begins at 8:30 pm on ESPN.
