Brazilian composer/arranger/guitarist Oscar Castro-Neves, one of the founding pioneers of the Bossa Nova moment in Brazil is coming to the Nashville Jazz Workshop for a weekend residency, which will include a performance with Lori Mechem and Ritmos Picantes on Friday, a Young People’s Concert on Saturday as well a solo “armchair concert with featured guests, celebrating “50 Years of Bossa Nova,” and an open rehearsal with NJW Brazilian ensemble-in-residence Samba Nove.
