Vusi Mahlasela took home the Best Male Artist award at the South Africa Music Awards (SAMA) that took place April 14, 2007 for “Naledi Ya Tsela” (Sony BMG), an album released in March through ATO Records in the U.S. under the title “Guiding Star.” Lloyd Ross, the producer and engineer on the album, received the SAMA for best engineer.
