On June 7, 2010, Jairo Zavala aka DePedro was awarded the “Villa de Madrid” award for popular music. Every year, the major of Madrid awards citizens who strive in the fields of Art, Poetry, Dancing, Music and Acting.
In DePedro’s words, “I am very fortunate to be selected this year. It is emotional for me, being a proud Poblano citizen of Madrid.”
