This summer, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts will bring two legendary members from the world acclaimed band Buena Vista Social Club to perform an unforgettable concert.

Omara Portuondo and Eliades Ochoa are the most charismatic existing members of the Cuban band and are ready to embark on a U.S. summer tour. They will perform timeless songs in San Antonio on Aug. 20 at 8 p.m.

For the past 20 years, both members have been music ambassadors of son, mambo, montuno and cha cha cha all over the world.

The great Cuban diva Omara Portuondo is a legendary singer who has been performing since the age of 15 and has carried a voice reflecting a creative and passionate music career. She has had a professional singing career for 70 years and has performed on stages all around the world and even recalls memorable moments where she was able to showcase her talent, including a visit to the White House.
