Cherish the Ladies’ new Holiday album, on their own record label Big Mammy Records, will be released before Thanksgiving in time for their December tour of the United States. The album, called A Star in the East will be available online and for sale at all performances. It’s a follow up to their extremely successful On Christmas Night hailed by critics as one of the best Christmas albums of the year. The album continues the theme with old Christmas favorite singalongs – given their unique special celtic touch, and some new catchy Christmas songs with jigs, reels, polkas, airs and slides. On the album, Cherish the Ladies are joined by a fabulous string quintet, John Madden (Joanie Madden’s brother) on percussion and Anna Colliton on bodhran. Joanie and the ladies will celebrate 25 years of touring from January 5th.
