Cherish the Ladies and Moving Hearts win big at Ireland's Music Awards

Ireland’s top traditional, folk and Celtic music industry stars were recognized and awarded for their contribution to the industry at the Ireland’s Music Awards which took place in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Co, Mayo on Saturday August 1st 2009. IMN’s Cherish the Ladies took home the award for Best Overseas Act, while Moving Hearts won for Best Revival Act.The event took place as part of “The World Fleadh” international Irish & Celtic music festival. The event, which is the only national awards for Irish traditional, folk and Celtic music in Ireland, was hosted in the 2,200 seat newly built Royal Theatre Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
