Esperanza Returns to The White House

For the second time in three months, Esperanza Spalding performed at The White House starting off an evening of performances in the East Room last night. The event, showcasing spoken word and poetry, was intended to display the diversity of American talent and is just one of the series of events the Obamas have put on to celebrate the arts.
