Kurt Elling Sings His Way Through Boston
By: Anthony Brooks
Kurt Elling is among the world’s best known jazz vocalists. He has a rich baritone, a passion for improvisation and over the years, the Jazz Journalists Association has named him “Male Singer of the Year” a half dozen times.
He’s a multiple grammy nominee and a Grammy winner. When he stopped by our studio recently, it was early for a jazz singer, but even so Elling agreed to sing for us.
This Wednesday, Kurt Elling will be performing with the Kluvers Big Band from Denmark at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston.
