Esperanza Spalding Jazzes Up Her Wardrobe

A colleague just told me that Esperanza Spalding is modeling some funky haute couture in the pages of the latest InStyle magazine.
More power to Spalding, and to any other jazz musicians who qualify as fashion plates, I say. I just wish the world worked so that, for example, Ornette Coleman, Cecil Taylor, Carla Bley, Paul Bley or Andy Bey were worthy of InStyle’s attention too.
