Trash cans, barrels, buckets, it’s all fair game for Street Drum Corps who furnish their live sets completely with found instruments. Formed in 2004 by brothers Bobby and Adam Alt and friend Frank Zummo, Street Drum Corps captures rhythm in all facets, from the truly primal to the stunningly complex. Since their self titled debut album, Street Drum Corps has worked with the likes of Good Charlotte, Bad Religion, Atreyu, and No Doubt drummer Adrian Young.

Recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 and EASTWEST Studios in Hollywood, Street Drum Corps’ dual album release complements their rock record with an instrumental album entitled, Big Noise. A well-crafted journey, Big Noise explores the progression of urban percussion from its roots in the rhythms of nature, to the emergence of street drumming, to the evolution of technology.

Street Drum Corps brings this concept album to arts audiences with their latest theatrical production. Born from their signature style, Street Drum Corps’ all-percussion show draws inspiration from sources as diverse as punk rock and the Burundi drummers of Africa. A high-energy percussion performance, Street Drum Corps mixes both traditional instruments and found objects with elements of dance for a unique and visually captivating performance. Their virtuosic drumming can make any “thing” sound good.

Street Drum Corps has electrified stages all over North America, from the Vans Warped Tour to the Ottawa Jazz Festival.
